Processing of your personal data may also be done to comply with a legal obligation. For example, it is a requirement for authorised veterinary microchip databases to have a system for identifying dog keepers when they make an enquiry.

Personal data submitted for training, employment and work experience purposes may also be processed as a legitimate interest where the data collected does not form part of a contractual agreement.

How long will my data be kept?

National Veterinary Data Service will store your personal data for as long as is necessary for the purpose for which it was provided, and to meet contractual, legal, audit and other regulatory requirements.
